Who says that sparkle is only for the Holidays or for special occasions? Fashion followers are glittering from afar in sequined jackets, dresses and bling-ed out accessories. I like to think of this trend as Christmas-Come-Early. I adore sparkle and am always ecstatic to wear it during the Holidays and on New Year’s Eve. In years past, the turn of the calendar year was the one acceptable night to publicly adorn oneself with sparkle. Alas, the time has come to wear sparkle at will - if you will!! There are places and people who may not understand why I am wearing a sequined blazer that radiates with every turn on a Wednesday afternoon. To these disbelievers, I say, “Don’t knock it until you have tried it.” Wearing sequins in everyday situations not only makes a statement but also brings out festivity in the ordinary. We could all use a little sparkle in our everyday routines. For you, a sequined blazer may be too much for everyday. So, start small with sequined shoes or a sparkly hair barrette. Glittering accessories are just as fabulous as an entire outfit set aglow. This is a riskier trend to try, as bejeweling oneself will definitely result in heads turned.
